Off Season Getaways

If you need to escape the rate race, come on down! LBI is a haven year round to escape from reality. The island is slow paced in the off season. LBI is also is having sales, fund raisers, festivals and some local businesses try out new things to entertain us. Driving the Blvd. with the lights blinking, the speed limit at 45mph and only a few cars, if any to be seen, seems like a dream.

You may not want everyone and their brother in this visit. If so, just book the first floor only with 3 bedrooms that sleeps up to 9. We have 3 queen beds in 3 rooms, and a queen pullout in living room and s single cot to use if needed. If you want to save a few bucks and don't want access to the Hot Tub on the rooftop deck this is an option. Let us know your head count to quote a price.

So if you enjoy nature, come on down! Pack your bags and get cozy, bring your books, crafts, cameras, binoculars, or your Netflix password and hibernate for a few days. If you like storms plan to come during one! Bring a SUV that is high off the ground, tall rain boots, rain gear and warm clothing. The rain down here can be horizontal at times. Open the blinds and enjoy the view of Mother Nature at her best.

TIPS: Use the back Beach Ave, to travel due to the Blvd. floods in spots (BADLY). Keep a hold of the house door and car doors when the winds kick in. We have had up to 70mph winds from time to time. Stay indoors during winds over 30mph. They are dangerous and no fun!

You will love the radiant heated floors and the gas fireplace when the temps drop! Bring your favorite recipes and cook/bake up a storm to take home with you after you have had your fill. The 48" Thermador range will keep you amused for hours with its griddle, pot filler, steam baking oven, convection oven, and warming drawer options. Or the large crockpot is an option to toss ingredients in, set it and get back to reading. ????
